And So I Watch You From Afar (ASIWYFA) are one of Ireland’s most beloved alternative musical outfits, receiving overwhelming critical acclaim and accolades for their dynamic post-rock and trademark guitar riffs. Making their debut in Southeast Asia, the Belfast four-piece begins their Asia tour in Singapore with a one-night only performance of their infectious instrumental rock in Zouk’s main room.

The band, which formed in 2005, has released three EPs and three albums to date, and touring at an unparalleled pace for over five years around the world from Belarus to China, and most recently, India. Their latest record, “All Hail Bright Futures” is dominated by a sunnier disposition, a positive uplift that more closely matches the euphoria the Northern Ireland quartet has been instilling in audiences through their music in a live setting.

Opening the night will be Singapore genre-bending quintet sub:shaman, treating us to their slightly dark and off-kilter prog-rock.

ASIWYFA do happy so well it doesn’t really matter that it don’t also make you angry, sad, or melancholic. With all the time that post-rock and other instrumental, guitar-based genres spend writing introspective, navel-gazing microsymphonies, ASIWYFA hit exactly the right spot. - Pop Matters, Mar 2013
“The sun is shining, the party’s started. ASIWYFA sound like they’re having fun shaping and performing this music, and you’ll want to be part of it.” - BBC Music, Mar 2013
